Week 1_ Reflection

Since learning Module 1, I have gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience in developing the blog. Thanks to the valuable feedback from my teammates and other sharing, I discover both the strengths and weaknesses of my first post on the blog. I would like to share with you, my teacher, and my friends what I have learned, what needs to change after the initial lesson, and my emotions about the lesson.

During the group discussion, all of my teammates exchanged ideas and blogs with each other. There is some useful knowledge I can get from that. First of all, it is crucial for me to identify the type of topic and determine the audience as well. It can be seen that I have done well in my blog because my blog is a "tutor blog" where I share effective techniques and methods in teaching a foreign language and the audiences are ELT teachers. Second, an array of questions are solved thanks to my friends' support. For example, my blog is too formal and long to draw the audience's attention. I should narrow down and focus on general ideas to convey ideas, and the language in the blog should be more friendly and comfortable. Besides, abbreviations in blog posts are completely acceptable. Furthermore, my team also recognizes that the first post on the blog's home should be a warm greeting. A warm opening post likely stimulates readers to get the feeling of being welcomed in such a relaxing friendly environment. Last but not least, making a decision on selecting suitable videos and photos is essential. All of the virtual tools (charts, pictures, illustrations) are chosen based on the content and attractiveness.

After the discussion section, our teacher also encourages the class to share other performances with each other. While listening actively to my classmates' opinions, I merely wanna say "OMG". I see their enthusiasm and the professionalism they invest in their blog. For instance, the way they start to welcome audiences to introduce themselves on their personal profile is intriguing. Actually, I believe that I will have myriad chances to learn from my friends in the future.

I'm grateful for having opportunities to discuss with my friends and gain skills and experience from them. Now, I have more ideas about making a blog more effective and charming. In addition, I would like to say thank you to our teacher because of the related materials and resources she supplied on the Canvas platform. Without the teacher's suggestion, it is impossible for me to have a deep understanding of aspects of blogs (the types of blogs, their importance, how to create blogs, and typical samples, etc).

I am willing to go on to get information and explore technology more with the next modules. Thank you for spending time with me. Hope you have a wonderful day with love.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions or give me comments. ^^

  2. Hello Huyen, despite listening to the sharing from your group's moderator in class discussion, I have to say that your group worked and collaborated well with each other and I can see a lot of advice you gained from your teammate, which proved invaluable to my blog too. This reflection post is really appealing with beautiful pictures and I definitely apply it in my blog. I suggest you can use bigger font of letter so that the readers can easily read through your sharing. Anw, thank you so much <3
